1985 300TD - SOLD!
Moderators, please feel free to close this thread...
The bloom is off the rose and I'm ready to move on... I've owned this since late 2001 when my father (PO) retired and relocated to Maine and left it in my drive. 336K on the odometer presently, new crate motor installed at ~135K (can't recall the circumstances justifying the work, still have the paperwork/receipt). California emissions hardware still intact. SLS works as it should, and central locking is leak-free. Both rear axles replaced within last 7 years. Driver's side rear power window intermittent, but the other three are fine. Cruise control is not working. Rear wiper non-operational, used replacement wiper motor included. OEM First Aid kit, tool bag, jack, and Bundt spare onboard. Original factor Becker radio / system. Curt receiver trailer hitch and 4-wire 'flat' connector. A/C was overhauled (still R-12) in 2004 or thereabouts, but a run-in with a deer a few years ago which necessitated replacement of the grill, radiator, and condenser has left it inoperable (will need a new receiver/dryer and recharge). Car does have rust at rear wheel arches, front valance, and some evidence at jack points and floors. Pivot tab for accelerator pedal rotted away, but have OEM replacement that will go with the car.
