For sale a 1987 Mercedes Benz 300SDL black in pristine condition, paint is two months old, ac compressor got less than 50 work hours and the engine is borrowed from a 300D 1987 destroyed in a rear accident with 117,000 miles in it, car got the interior also in black from a 560 SEL from 1991 (nicer than the original 1987) upholstery being done three months ago, car got 260,000 miles but is been good maintain by a Mercedes Benz mechanic and the engine runs and sound like 117,000 miles. All the windows, gauges and sunroof work, radio got a retractable 7" digital screen capable of mp4 and video. The front end and brakes has been done 4,000 miles ago.
The motor mounts and the dashboard cover should be changed in order to give the car a proper look and feel and the windscreen got a coupe of small chips,(not noticeable), the driver 's door do not open or close with the key (it should be done by passenger side door) and the external temp. gauge display need to be replaced but that`s pretty much the minus points of the car, tires do have 70% life in them and they are supposed to go 80,000 miles so it should be enough for three o four years of normal use. No rust whatsoever in the car, see pics.
Also in the sale is included another 300SDL black (with title) for spare parts including the engine, this last car got the engine out of it so it does not run, but it was running prior to be taking out. This last engine does work but smoke a little so it is supposed to be repaired or used for parts. There are some other spare parts like a extra vacuum pump and a fuel injection pump and some relays who will be passed to buyer. Car is open to any test by any mechanic although any test should be done in my presence. Asking $7000, cars in similar conditions get sold in Ebay for much more than what I am asking. Price is negotiable but I am not in a hurry to sell, I do know what this car is worth and any MB diesel lover should know that too. Glad the car didn`t sold, i have brought it with me to Costa Rica and it`s running like a charm thru all Central America, just went last week to San Salvador from San Jose and back in four days w/o any hickup, what a beatiful and comfy car, all the rough roads around here are nothing for this old champ thanks to the german suspension system, glad to have it with me.
