FS: 1999 E300 Turbodiesel

This is an original Florida car that I custom ordered to my specs in 1999. It has been by faithful companion for 15 years but I've bought a new super-fast electric car so it's time to move on.
The stats: 250,000 miles Brilliant silver over grey, burled walnut trim Moonroof Bose stereo 6 CD changer in the trunk E430 wheels Standard seats - leather centers with MBTex bolsters. MBTex shows zero wear. Silver reflective window tint The good Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. Everything works as expected. Cosmetically it is in very good condition. I don't smoke, don't have children, and only weigh 150 lbs so the interior is very gently used. The headliner was replaced 2 years ago. The exterior is free of door dings or any other significant damage. The car has been garage kept much of the time and items that typically show age on a car like this have been replaced. The headlights, side markers, and tail lights (E430 style) are all relatively new. I have maintained the car at or above MB standards since it was brand new. Everything done on time and oil changes done at 5000 miles for the first 5 years or so. Always used proper synthetic oil for diesel engines. The transmission was rebuilt under warranty at around 70,000 miles. My commute is 45 miles one way so this car was typically driven the way diesels like to be driven - long trips with few stops. The bad The front end seems to have more that its share of rock chips. There a small section of paint that is peeling on the rear bumper. Rear brakes need to be done and the parts are sitting here waiting for me. The radio volume knob is a little flakey. That's it! The price $6000 The pictures |

Hi Rick, Let's talk about the E300. I sent you a couple of messages but it looks like they didn't go through.

As requested by Doug, here's a closeup of the spot on the bumper. More good stuff that I forgot - windshield was replaced in 2011 using genuine MB glass and the alternator was replaced this year with a Bosch reman.
I'll take pics of the 82 300D and put them up tomorrow. |
Still on the market?

Go for it Don
I love my 98, this one looks just the same as mine and in similar shape. You'll love it! I almost wish I had the $$ for this one, I would get mine a twin like Shertex did. The W210: Light years ahead of the 123 The natural evolution of the 124 The last great MB, before the engineering decisions got dictated by bean counters If you get it, pull the radio and send it to Ed at Becker, he'll fix the volume control good as new for about a Benjamin. It's an oddball rotary encoder that is hard to find. One of the few fixes I've had to do in the last 18 months. |
It's already been sold. I missed it. :(. Oh well. Guess it wasn't the one for me.

Thanks everybody! Consider the car sold at this point. Doug306 sent payment but hasn't picked up the car yet.
