1987 Mercedes 300D, Clean, Only 135k Miles

Hi all,

I'm selling a 1987 Mercedes 300D that has only about 135k miles. Clean title.

It is almost a one owner car. The person who bought it new had it only about one year. A lady in Georgia then owned from 1988 or 89 until last year when her health got too bad to drive. It was "her" car. I bought it from her and her husband. The car has spent its life in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

I have records from the PO covering most everything done to the car from 1988-2013. A year ago I replaced glow plugs, in tank filter, fuel filters, tie rod ends, brake rotors and pads, radiator hoses, serpentine belt, battery and the alternator (which tested OK but had noisy bearings).

The AC and HVAC system work, as does everything else except the left rear window and the cruise control amp. It starts easily and runs as it should. It even started easily last winter when it got down to 6 degrees F here.

Interior is in excellent condition.

As can be seen from the pics, I installed 2002 Mercedes C-Class 16" wheels, and Kumho tires that now have only about 5,000 miles. 4-wheel alignment when the new tires were installed. I've driven it daily for the past year, but need to thin the herd.

Located about 100 miles down I85 from Atlanta.

$5,000 with tires and wheels, or $4,500 with original wheels and sorry tires.

More pictures available at Bob Taylor's (charliebob13) Library | Photobucket

Thanks.

Bob

Nice car, but this line is a little counter intuitive when asking a relatively premium price for a car this vintage. Nobody's going to want wheels with poor tires, it's just more money to add onto a car that's already asking a premium.

Good luck anyway.
