1985 190D 2.2 manual
Haven't decided for sure, but am considering selling my 1985 190D 2.2 with a manual transmission. I really don't fit very well in it, being 6'3" tall. It's always a tight fit.
I'm wondering how much I should sell the thing for. Condition: - approximately 140,000 miles on the odometer - five-speed manual transmission - engine runs fine, no problems since I've had it - new battery - dark blue in color, clear coat starting to peel to the point where it is getting ugly. - couple small dings in the body, nothing major - Camel MBtex interior - "traditional" cracks in the dash, two I think, would have to look - OEM radio works fine Stuff that doesn't work: - cruise control - air conditioner Stuff I changed: - next size wider Tire Rack Borbet Type CA 15" wheels - have a fifth matching wheel in the trunk, (I trashed the old 14" 16-hole wheels, but still have the 14" spare which was never used, looks brand new - Bilstein HD shocks - have a set of Bosch euro headlights and the dash adjustment panel for vacuum controlled light height, but not installed - might decide to sell separately Even though the thing is gutless, I love driving the stick. I just don't fit very well inside and have to have the seat leaning back to the point where it isn't all that comfortable. I paid Enrique of Mr. MB Motors in Tarzana $5,000 back in 2009, but realize that I won't be able to get that now. Enrique has retired, so I'd also have to find a new mechanic to service it for me. I'm willing to let it go, but also won't give it away. I just don't know how much to ask for it because diesel stick shifts are rarer than automatics and supposedly more desirable. I won't be Benzless, as I still have my '89 300CE coupe. |
