Feelers for W124 Diesels

Just putting feelers out there is all. No rush to buy anything right now. Don't care if I end up with something next spring as far as I'm concerned. Not looking for a wagen. Sedans only.

'87-'93 is preference. Color combos are not a big deal, I'm not picky. Rust however, I'm not looking for rot buckets I'll be scrapping in a few years. Bad paint isn't a deal breaker.

Mechanical is important that it runs and drives and I can drive it while repairing it. These cars are over 20 years old so I'm realistic.

I'm in Philly

Start watching the CLs here from No. Cal. There's some super gems out there FS at times here........

Unfortunately, you'll either have to have it shipped or go pick it up on the West Coast....so add a grand to the price.

You really think I'm going ship a car or fly out to get it? I buy in PA/NJ all the time and have purchased ALL of them from the East Coast. Never once have they been rot buckets and each and one of those W124s is still on the road.

I've got a '87 300D with a #16 head that I'll be selling late winter or spring. MD car so there is almost zero rust, less rust than my Dad's Oregon '87 300D! Silver over burgundy. The only picture I have of her at the moment - I'm doing a '95 front clip conversion. randrewferry@hotmail.com if you want to talk.

Are you sure about that? #16 was a non turbo head. Does it have angled injectors?

I was wrong about the head, it is a #14. the PN reads ..016 14. I had to degrease it to read it correctly.

Looks like it's a race between me and Jake. Consider the thread hijacked. PM sent

'94 the US didn't receive a Diesel. Only '95. Just not interested in a '95, looking to build a superturbo and the '95 has weaker rods and wouldn't be able to handle the power. It could probably handle a small turbo, but with what I am looking to do not at all.

Are you selling a '95?

I've got a 95 E300 with 320k miles available. Starts, drives and runs out great. A/C compressor locked up. Transmission was rebuilt at 250k miles. Asking $1500. NO RUST anywhere.

Also have a 92/93 E300 2.5 available. Under 200k miles. A/C does not work. Have not tried to determine what all is wrong with it. Again, $1500 gets it. Again, no rust anywhere.
