Hi all, Am new to this site and looking at a '92 500SL, white with the pale gray lower panels, burgandy interior, and gold emblems. All looks in great shape. The owner is up north for six months so his neighbor is trying to sell it for him, asking $28,900. When I first took it out it sputtered at a stop light so took it on the interstate and blew it out a bit and the sputtering stopped. Don't know what the conv. top looks like because the hardtop is on and the neighbor is 73 years old and he just told me that the top looks just like the rest of the car. Is there anything that I should look for, am new to the Mercedes line of cars, is the '92 a good year? How's the price sound because he said it was pretty firm, maybe take off $900 but he'd have to call the owner first. Sorry for the long post but any information will be greatly appreciated.
