87 300E 5 speed - Delaware

I'm selling my rusty, trusty 87 300E 5 speed. The car has 257k miles and loads of records. Due to the rust it may be better as a parts car but someone with more time and skill than me may want to fix it. The car is lowered with H&R springs and sportline sway bars. This would make a perfect candidate for a 5 speed swap into another W124 and have lots of good parts left over. Everything aside from the cruise and rear windows on the car works as it should. The car will come with 15 hole stock wheels since I am going to need the wheels currently on the car for another upcoming project. There is rust in the rockers and at all four jack holes. If the car doesn't sell I will end up parting it out but SWMBO isn't thrilled with the idea of another parts car. If I do part it the suspension parts and transmission are already spoken for. $2000 OBO

Was this thing ever in Souther Maryland? I want to say I've seen it around North Beach area about 5 years ago.

Here are some pictures from yesterday. I'm picking up the replacement tonight so I need this gone sooner rather than later to preserve marital bliss

Wow, I forgot how hideous the stock wheels are on the W124s. Never liked them at all. Any W124 I had had them all swapped. WTH were they thinking in 86 when they put those wheels on the W124?

NICE

Ok the Car is obviously exactly the same one. 87 they did not make any 300E 5spd. for the USA market. Only 86 and 88. 300 in 86 and 600 in 88. I sold my 86 300E 5spd with a 24v swap 175K on clock for 4500. No rust and heated seats I think This stock one here IS worth that too. MY 300e needed the roof hood trunk painted paint was pealing. Rest of the car was dented and scratched. This 300e is rare VERY rare 87 I neve saw one are you sure it does not say Imported by? on the metal sticker on the driver pillar??

It was converted to a 5 speed from an 86 I think. It's a US model.

Out of curiousity, if you didn't want to part it out, why did you remove the wheels and the headlights and raise the price by 30%?

Because SWMBO told me to

Happy wife happy life.

Honestly I'm leaning to parting it out and rebuilding the engine and transmission for my 300TE
