FS: 1980 300sd "Eurofied" - Portland, OR

1979 300sd for sale. I've done a bunch of work to it, but 2 kids and 2 dogs have forced me into a wagon. The HVAC has been converted to the factory manual system - no evil servo (no a/c either although all the parts are there.). Virtually no rust on the body, although it is a little dinged up and has a bad repaint. Converted to euro bumpers.

Motor runs well and starts easily down to about 30oF or so. Below that requires a couple of glow cycles. I've started it down to 10oF or so. It does leak and use some oil. Transmission shifts great and goes into gear quickly. I have no idea how many miles are on it. Recent work includes (last 2 years):

Motor mounts
Valve adjustment
Injector Service (greazzer)
Trans filter and fluid
Cooling flush/thermostat
Shifter bushings
Driver seat replaced

I have more red interior parts for the front seats/door panel as well as another rear bumper and a euro w116 hitch. I haven't had a chance to install this stuff.

Looking to get ~$1300 obo - make me an offer I can't refuse. Sorry about the bad cell pics.

The paint is not factory, but is a blue-grey color. Paint is not great. It was originally a silver metallic. Odometer does not work but reads 230,000. I have had it for 4 years and have put about 30,000 on it, so it has *at least* 260,000 and probably more.

I forgot to mention I'd be willing to trade for a good running w123 om616 - preferably 1980 or later. Thanks for looking.

How's the rust situation? I may know a buyer not far from you.

There was a little rust in the wheel wells under the undercoat which I treated with POR-15 and also on the firewall which I also treated (typical w116 spots). No other rust that I have found, and I have been over the car pretty well. It has been a Portland car all its life so no salt. The windshield seal is shot and leaks so that will need replaced.

Wow, it sure looks great with the Euro bumpers!
Best of luck with the sale!

Did they paint the door jambs and engine compartment too? How hard to get it back to silver?

The jambs and the engine compartment are still silver, so I guess it would be easy to restore the silver color. It is a nice 10 footer right now.
