For sale is my 1984 Mercedes 300SD, asking $2,800.

I know the history of this car and it has always been very well taken care of. A friend of mine bought it from the original owner 8 years ago, with less than 100,000 miles on it and it was immaculate, with all service done at the dealer. She had it professionally converted to run on vegetable oil, with a custom aluminum tank and high quality valves and filters. It has been running on vegetable oil reliably for over 75,000 miles since then, and the system works great. She had it serviced regularly at a good shop and always did whatever work it needed. I bought this car from her about a year ago and I love it, but I have too many cars and need to sell one. 177,000 miles, which is nothing for these engines.

This car is overall in good shape, and mechanically is near perfect, but like any car this age it has some character. Here’s a list of the things that aren’t working, most of which are probably easy fixes but I’ve never gotten around to them. Stereo, A/C, cruise control, power door locks, and front windows don’t work. Back windows and sunroof work great. There was a little scrape down the passenger side about knee height, didn’t do any damage but scuffed the trim, see the attached picture. Interior is clean, but the front seats want seat covers. Interior trim is OK but not showroom. Mostly it just needs a little TLC and the inside would be in very good shape. Probably needs brakes at some point but it’s fine for now and drives well. Just put new tires on the front so it’s ready for winter.

New battery, new oil cooler lines, fresh oil change, all fluids fresh and level, runs great. I just drove it 500 miles from Ohio without a second thought, it is very reliable and ran on vegetable oil the whole way.
