93 300SD for sale in Albuquerque
Putting up our 93 300SD for sale. The wife (whose car this is) is thinking about quitting work so we can have another kid, and so we're looking to get rid of one of our three cars.
It runs, drives, and shifts well. The odometer is stuck at 336,488 miles and it probably has quite a few more than that. We have used it a lot as a daily driver for commutes from Los Lunas to Albuquerque (about 55 miles round-trip). I would estimate it gets 30+ mpg highway. Oh, and the air conditioning works! I have a receipt for a complete engine rebuild ~10 years ago by a professional shop in California, presumably to address the "rod bender" issues. Blowby is minimal and I recently inspected the turbo; it's in great shape. I recently replaced the radiator, as the upper neck had disintegrated. I can include the old one if you want it for some reason. No rust that I can recall on the body or undercarriage. The front bumper and the bottommost part of the grille have some rust. I believe it's been a California and NM car its whole life. Got a few spare parts in the trunk: a new serpentine belt, oil filter, transmission filter and pan seal, and a front passenger side window regulator. The immediate issues: could use new tires; there is a shimmy around 55 mph (possible wheel balance or brake issue). The transmission doesn't kick down. And the other usual stuff: three of the four window regulators need to be replaced; the vacuum locks need to be troubleshot. The paint is sun faded but cleans up well with compounding. Asking $2500 obo, below both KBB and NADA. I'm flexible. If you're local to the area, I'd consider a car hauler trailer or camper trailer as trade/partial trade. Photos available here.

Nice looking car. Don't think I've seen you around town. Mine is the 85SD for sale.

Hey Robert, I saw your 85. Nice ride. I've owned a couple of W126 300 SDs myself (an 82 and an 83, both gold). I miss the simplicity of those older ones.
We're on Grant Blvd. in Los Lunas, south of the Chevron.

Price drop to $2900, or please feel free to make an offer. The wife wants me to move this thing.
