Purchased a 77' 300D for my next daily driver, and I don't want two cars, so I am finally serious about selling my W124.

I have owned this car for the last 10 years. It has had may repairs done all with original parts. Purchased with 100K miles.

Currently has 198K Miles.

Blue with Blue MBTex. Original floor mats, good quality interior. The exterior paint is in fair shape with a few small scratches and spots. Very presentable modern classic.

Mechanically in great shape. Does need the following:

Injectors (replaced at 100K, time for new ones)
AC Recharge (will last about 2 -3 years)

*** Comes with another set of identical Mercedes wheels with brand new Nokian hakkapeliitta r2 R2s mounted on them. These are just awesome!

Oh cool. My avatar was awesome. I bought from original owners in 2012 with 175k miles. Garage kept and all service records. I bought it from lifetime MB owners . They had several late models in the driveway for the entire family. I gave $3000 for it. Every little item worked but the a/c of course. You can't beat manual windows and such! Enjoy urs! Any luck on the e300?

Hi AvonGil, Can you add some details about the repairs done? How about rust... I could not see any from your pictures, but there are no undercarriage shots.

I forget all the repairs the car has had in the last 10 years. I will try to find them all and detail them.

- wiring harness
- rear half shafts
- bilstein HDs
- full exhaust with OE Mercedes exhaust
- rear calipers, lines, disks and pads (yesterday)

It's a bit easier to just list what it needs:

1 - interior temp sensor
2 - antenna
3 - injectors
4 - AC recharge - I will take care of this Monday

Still for sale. Have been busy, but I recharged the AC and its now blowing cold.

By the end of the week I will have:

1 - antenna fixed
2 - temp display fixed
3 - oil and filter change (rotella)

It will be ready to go except for the set of injectors it needs.
The car runs fine, but it is loud until it warms up. Put $600.00 into it, and it will be close to a new W124.


I am going to drop the price to 2,400 - not negotiable. First person to swing by with cash gets the car, the mounted snows and whatever else I have for it.

I feel this is a solid and honest $3,000 W124. New injectors from the dealer run 100 each, and they are flow tested and quality, thus the $600 reduction.

I wonder if it might help prospective buyers for there to be a bit more of an explanation as to exactly why new injectors are needed after only 100k miles.

Centrally located in North East Central Pa.

The injectors were replaced 100K miles ago with Indian Bosch rebuilds. Bad idea. I did not know at the time they were bad quality.

Car is still available. I did not fix the temp display, but will soon.

It saddens me too. It's so cheap, I am not too eager to sell - especially now that winter is coming and I can drive it without worry.
