The car is in good condition, but the only problem is that it won't turn over. It has a brand new battery with a warranty and everything looks really good on it except for it drove and just quit. And then it wouldn't turn over. It cranks, and gets fuel and spark. I've been working on it, trying different things to fix it but I'm not a mechanic, especially not a Mercedes mechanic so its getting me stumped as to what it could be.

New tires, fair to good interior, good exterior, brand new battery with warranty. $900 OBO. Great car if you can fix it (might be an easy fix), good parts car.

My mother-in-law's windstar wouldn't turn over, just a click, replaced starter, then it turned over and put a piston rod through the block.

Does the engine spin, or just a click? If just a click, I would suspect corrosion in the big thick wire going to the starter, or on the grounding strap on the left side rear of engine going to the chassis.

Sounds like one of the fuel pumps failed or both are weak so its not getting enough pressure, or the fuel distributor. OR, it could be the EZL computer on the front drivers side fender went bad, engine won't run without it. So many things it could be, welcome to the land of the CIS engine MB's.

Crank sensor is the very first think that pops into my head..........that drove me nuts on my SEL. Last thing I checked. Based on what you wrote (and checked) betting a donut.
