87 300D- Upgraded... For sale Best offer.

1987 300D The fun starts...

That was my thread for the car. I've done a lot to it, it needs a lot still done.

There is some frame damage to the drivers front, was fix poorly in the past, I welding it up some more, still could use a little addressing. Will need front tires, rears are like new.

Needs a handfull of other stuff, intake gasket, crossover tube, the tensioner should be replaced. Strong engine, great transmission, both replaced.

#17 head.

CLK rims (Winmutts old rims) actually, front tires are also Winmutts old tires..

Really too much to try and list as to what I have done to the car... take a look at thread.

Been a good driver, Buying a new car in next week or so, and have lost interest in it. So, make me an offer come and drive it home. Any offer, best offer gets it.

Interesting, but I think the car got repaired at a local tech school years ago, which may be why it never showed on the carfax. I have a thread on here when I first bought the car talking about the receipts that came with the car and the insane amount of money somebody spent on it before me.

I've been under it a lot, and know where the damage is, and can show you the issues I have, but long short of it is that it's going to have to go to a frame rack to be corrected. I been told 400 to 600 for the repair.

The car needs love, while I love the 94 interior in it the drivers seat shows wear, (rest of seats look new) Rear windows don't work. Have never gotten to them for troubleshooting. Also I wired up the power mirror opposite of the drivers and have not gotten around to taking the center apart again to correct.

I know the intake gasket need to be replaced, along with the crossover tube and gasket. Just put new glow plugs in and there are great.

Drove car to work tonight, the crappy front tires are pulling a little to the right and car feels like it's out of alignment. That goes back to the frame issues.

Not expecting much for car, I've gotten my fun out of it and had a lot of fun playing with it over the years it is what it is and will be great for someone elses project now.

Just noticed your in Dalton, heck, I could drive the car over to you and let you look at it, your only 25 minutes from work... (VW Plant) 82 Wagons a good choice. I had to make a call on which to keep as my fun car and picked my wagon. always thought that it would be great to pull the 603/trans out of the 87 and use it in a w123. Just something about the w123 styling that is eternal to me.

If you do get the wagon and need a hand wrenching on it let me know. I've spent a LOT of time in, under and over them
