1995 E300D F/S $2000 South Middle TN

A/C needs a shot of Freon. And a new compressor.

Was daily driver (150 miles round trip) for 9 years. OM606 W124 been sitting for a year, thought I'd fix it back up, but its time to let it go. I have loved this car for a long time, and have no plans on replacing it yet, funding another project that has my attention.

No bad dents, has some rust in wheel wells at plug drains. Probably elsewhere too, I just haven't looked deep enough to see in a while. Front and rear plastic are both broken due to an unsuspecting armadillo strike.

380k miles, transmission rebuilt at ~290k.

It looks pretty, but most of the creature comfort items aren't operational. It has an odor as if some rain water got on the carpet at some point, and found some "evidence" of a mouse. That's why the price is what it is.

I personally changed the oil every 3-5K miles with Valvoline conventional, was very religious about this until I parked it.

Front struts are shot. New ones are still in the box in the trunk where I got them and didn't install.

Jumped battery off this past weekend and it fired right up, drove it around the yard. It could use fuel filters, so it seemed. Engine was shaking like it needs motor mounts. Brakes felt good.

Can send more pics on request, I'll focus on where every you need too look at. I'll disclose all and answer any questions you might have.

Let me know what I forgot on this post, and I'll fill in the blanks.

I've been a lurker on this forum since I bought this car, there's so much information on here. Thank you all for helping me all of these years.

Folks, I'm looking for a little constructive criticism at this point. Not getting a lot of feedback, so I'd like to reach out to the folks who are reading the listing and get your unbiased opinions.

Could it be the location of the car? Condition? Photos? I don't think the price is out of line as a starting point, but if that's it, please let me know. I don't need the car gone, I just thought that someone here might be interested in it. It doesn't look like I'm ever going to have time for it.

Once again, thank you.

I guess South Middle, TN is by Chat? Only thing that I might suggest is to list things as "pro's" and "con's" instead of giving a guess. e.g. (It could use fuel filters, so it seemed), (Engine was shaking like it needs motor mounts).
Let the reader make decisions about the con's. if you don't know what's wrong.

The price is what you place on it. Someone closer may think that great while someone on the west coast may not. Shipping is a big deal on smalls as it can easily be over 50% of the cars value. So location is important. When I look at a car here that interest me - I take the value of the car/condition and subtract transportation cost and any known repairs disclosed or viewed. Hope this helps!

You asked for it. for $3000/3500 you can find a clean one with 250k miles.
By your description it needs suspension work, body work, wind screen seals, or sunroof seal, no mention of condition of the tires, power windows, and seat do not operate, does it heat where you want it or do the pods need replacing, no interior photos, and maintenance history is oil is changed regular. Have the glow plugs been replaced, does it smoke or loose fluids. It should sell for $1400/1500 without to long of a wait, also is the 95 the one with the
biodegradable wiring harness.

Sloride, This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for your honesty. I guess I should have been a little more descriptive, but my original post seemed a bit long as it was. I'll get on it ,and see what I can do about addressing these shortcomings.

TX, good suggestion on the Pros/Cons. I've always been a terrible salesman. I couldn't sell a free glass of ice water to someone who was on fire.

Thanks a ton.

Put up the VIN (so folks can pull the data card and see what options the car came with), and post some pictures of the interior. Pictures of the rusty places and broken plastic that you mention will also help.

Some '95 models came with special last year dressing / options, like special door sills, special shift lever, heated seats and headlight washers. Does the car has ASR?

Are you willing to drive it any distance to deliver?
