1978 300CD For Sale//$1300 or Make an Offer

Time to get rid of my Daughters ride, so here's the back-story:

Bought the car couple three years ago. It had been sitting for quite some time, but well cared for. Got it road ready, replaced a few items along the way, and it has been a daily driver since I got it.

Bought it with 190k....it now has 226k and runs good.

The good: recently replaced engine mounts, upgraded glow plugs, new transmission mount, new A/C components (dryer, valve, sensor), front suspension in last year, shocks replaced last year, and valves adjusted couple weeks ago. Interior is decent.

The bad: Daughter was driving a few weeks ago and didn't latch the hood properly....hood flew up and shattered the windshield. So replaced front glass and seal! Wait for it.....the very next day, it happened again. Hood came up shattered the windscreen. So she is leaving the glass as is and the hood is tweaked too, so this car will need new front glass and a hood. The hinges may be okay, but they're probably a little tweaked as well.

I really do love this car....it drives good and runs well. I have personally done half a dozen midnight runs from Pensacola to Jacksonville and I stuck it at 80mph the whole way. But my Daughter is done with the diesel experiment and I don't have the time, or space, to fix it up anymore.

I'll get more pics uploaded this weekend and happy to answer any and all questions.

$1300....or come see it, throw an offer down, and let's get it out of here.

All-

Sorry for not replying sooner, but I was out of Country for a few days.

I've decided to keep the vehicle and put her back on the road....

Thanks,

Lance-

Good for you! Not many were made originally, rare few left now-a-days. Seems like there's a pretty high attrition rate too. It may prove to be challenging (read EXPENSIVE!) none the less, there are those who applaud your decision. Email me should you feel the need for some help, I'll do what I can!

Thanks. The car really is in good shape and drives nice...just needs a little tinkering, as they all do. I enjoy working on the cars when I'm the driver -- not so much when my kids are abusing them ;-)
