FS: 1995 E320 wagon parts car

After spending thousands on parts and hundreds of hours restoring my wagon mechanically, the car was totaled on the highway on the return leg of a 1600 mi trip. Damage to front end and left rear quarter. Only used genuine or quality German parts.

Less than 10k miles ago replaced the following:
  • Head gasket set (Elring Klinger)
  • Cylinder head reworked by local machine shop that MB dealers also use
  • 14 head bolts (Genuine MB)
  • All new timing chain (IWIS) and all 3 plastic guides (Genuine MB)
  • New water pump (Graf), thermostat (Behr), radiator (Behr), flushed cooling system, refilled with 50/50 Zerex G-05-distilled water and added Redline water wetter
  • Front main seal (Elring Klinger)
  • Spark plugs (Bosch) and wires (Bosch)
  • Idler pulley (Ina)
  • High pressure fuel hoses in engine bay (Genuine MB)
  • Fuel hose between 2 fuel pumps (Genuine MB)
  • All plastic electrical connectors on the engine (Genuine MB)
  • Most rubber connectors on the engine (Genuine MB)
  • Heater valve
  • Heater core (Behr)
  • Heater metal hoses (Genuine MB)
  • PS fluid + filter + low pressure hose
  • SLS fluid flush (Genuine) + filter and seal + low pressure hose
  • ATF + filter (Mann)
  • Rear diff oil (Mobil 1)
  • Engine oil (Mobil 1 0W-40) + filter (Mann)
  • Many other things that are too small to mention or have slipped my mind
Only ever used Mobil 1 and Genuine/Mann/Mahle oil filters changed frequently. You could eat off the inside of this engine. Doesn't leak a drop of oil.

The previous owner was a German fellow who only brought it to the dealer. In 2010 they replaced the transmission with a MB factory rebuilt transmission and a few other items at a cost of $9600! Less than 100k miles since then. Rust-free Houston car its entire life.

The interior is gray MB tex and extremely clean, apart from the blown airbags.

So basically you have an extremely solid drivetrain that should easily go another 200k miles with minimal maintenance, plus a very clean wagon interior.

Asking $1,500
Located in Houston, TX

2 days prior to the accident getting 4 new tires installed: (these wheels and tires don't come with the car)

mb911, that was a pristine 1995 E320 wagon. I feel your pain. How many miles are on this vehicle?

Thanks guys. It really bummed me out losing this wagon after all the hours I put into repairing/maintaining nearly every system in the car. There's hardly a bolt I haven't touched. Replacing the heater core in-car without removing the HVAC box was a particularly challenging job.

But frankly the fact that my father, who was the one driving at the time, walked out entirely unscathed is the most important thing to me.

The car currently has 260k miles. The above work was all done between 252k and 260k. Transmission replaced at 162k.
