1982 300CD with extra parts in So Cal
I put my 300CD in the garage when I quit driving it regularly. I dreamt of restoring it someday. But my new wife wants to park her new car in the garage. So somebody else is going to get to restore it. It has a bondo skim coat that needs to come off but the underlying metal is intact. They used bondo to adjust the hood height . . .
Anyway, I had the timing chain replaced and the trans frankensteined with another out of a 4-door. I have many extra parts both from the dismantled 4 Door and from living around the corner from a junk yard when 123s could still be found in the 2000s and early 2010s. Read End, Injection Pump, a bucket of prechambers, rear glass and seal, R-129 wheels, spare bundt wheels, numerous injectors and even my kit of shims and nozzle parts and grease-gun pop tester. Its greyish silver on the outside and has Blue MB Tex interior--oh and I have spare coupe seats in white--coupe seats are very dear. I also have an absolutely cherry 1985 instrument cluster which is perfect as the car has a 1985 rear end in it. I was hoping to get $4K for the whole lot--car and parts--but am willing to entertain offers for uninstalled parts and the whole car. Didja sell it or call Pick-A-Part ? .
If you drag it out and wash it, make it run it'll sell fast . I'd hate to be picking parts off this nice looking car .

Good price on the car, I wish you were closer. I might be interested in the instrument cluster and some other parts if they are available.
