Nice shape, but no v8 80s MB is worth 5k. I'd take it for 3k.

Are the v8s from the era considered problematic? I'm used to the m103 which seems to run almost against all odds.

Nope, other than they're not fantastic in fuel. Timing chains are a weak point on the 380se, and I think the newer w126s were upgraded to double tow chains.

Probably.. the piston are like 500 a piece for an om617... can't imagine it's much different for these v8s.

Doesn't have title but has some sort of release of liability from the husband in California. Notice of Transfer and release if Liability. Marty Ingles. Doubt they are wondering about an old tired Mercedes. But bonded titles come with risks.

Nope you're right. Had a dyslexic moment. I asked about title and got a picture of a release of liability. Actually immersed in this car. But if they stickered it in Texas they have title.

And the ad somewhat confusingly says:

Quote:
Last year I replaced the engine with a newly rebuilt motor, along with water pump, belts, radiator, alternator etc... So while the odometer shows around 150k, the engine has only about 30k on it. (I have receipts for the installation of the new engine.)
I wonder what they consider "rebuilt" and if they really drove 30 K miles in one year or if this was a rebuilt engine lifted from another car.

Also, calling a car she , her is just as bad as ad that say "Has all the bells and whistles". UGH !!!
