For sale is a enthusiast owned, reliable and efficient daily driver. I drive this car around 100 miles daily and return around 35 mpg. It's been super reliable, always started first try in the winter. The OM602 runs excellent with plenty of power since the waste gate actuator swap. This car feels equally as strong as my previous OM603 powered 300Ds (though hp/torque rating suggest otherwise). The interior is unusually clean for a 300,000 mile car. I removed the seats/carpet when I took ownership and gave it a deep cleaning.


Recent maintenance:


Engine:
Vacuum waste gate actuator swapped for a convention pressure type and adjust to spec manifold pressure (13.5 PSI IIRC)
ALDA adjusted
Intake and valve cover were removed, cleaned and resealed
New glow plugs installed as preventative maintained
New fuel filters (the tank strainer seems be flowing just fine so I didn't replace it)
New power steering fluid filter
New thermostat and correct Zerex coolant
New air filter
Recent engine oil change with Rotella T6 synthetic
Most of the vacuum line has been replaced with silicone line


Misc:
New Continental tires (less than 8,000 miles)
New Sachs front shocks
Drivers tie rod end assembly replaced (bought a new passenger side at the same time as a spare, will include)
Brake fluid flush, good brakes with orbital cut rotors
Transmission flush and filter with MB type fluid
New windshield (makes a big difference having nice glass to look out of!)


What it needs:
Paint has the common clear crazing, the worst being the hood. Looks fine from 10'
Left front fender has a spot of surface rust, nothing "through"
Air conditioning inoperative. All of the components are in place
E-brake doesn't work
Headliner sagging in spots
Drivers rear window intermittent when it's hot
Temperature gauge bounces up and down intermittently
