1991 300D. 194,000 miles. This is a spare family car that we would like to sell. It is in rough shape but we would like to save it from the junkyard and figure it may make a good parts car for someone here on the forum.

Good: Engine is strong and transmission shifts very well. A/C works. Electric antenna and original radio work (I think that is cool so I made a note of it). No rust issues (except the exhaust system). Dash is in good shape.

Bad: Exhaust leak from rusted out down pipe between turbo and center muffler. Struts/mounts. Vacuum system problems: central locking, climate control vent flaps, rear headrests, fuel door lock. Electric aux fan not kicking on (haven't investigated). Driver side rear window not working. Passenger side fog lamp out. Slop in steering (linkages look bad). Bad vibration from rear when accelerating from stop (don't know, flexdisk and cv boots look ok).

Ugly:
Exterior: Lots of damage on driver quarter panel. Damage on driver fender. Various dents and dings. Missing/broken plastic trim. Fading clear coat in spots.
Interior: Large hole in driver seat on back rest. Sagging headliner. Center console wood needs refinishing. Various burn marks and discoloration.

Would rather see it live on as a parts car. Will consider all offers.
