5 speed 300D
Sixto,
I went and drove that car. It definitely has too many miles and a raggedy cloth interior to be asking $4200, especially considering what I've paid for several of mine. Might be worth $1500. Was very interesting to drive but the shift mechanism definitely needed rebuilding. Ben |

How many miles were on it? Was the cloth interior beat?

5 speed
Turbodiesel,
The car had something like 246,000 miles on it. It was a 300D, too. Shift on the 5 speed was very stiff. Cloth seats were worn through on the drivers side. I guess the worse thing was that it had a dark blue metalic paint job that had a number of spots like someone had dropped acid on it. Very difficult to retouch. I've a thing about any metalic paint jobs even MBZ ones. You can't just polish them out like the opaque ones. Let me know if you're coming this way to check it out. Ben |
