1970 280SE For Sale

I have bought this vehicle about a year ago in California. I have receipts totalling over $20K. New/pristine items are as follows:

Perfect beautiful cognac leather, New carpet and mats, wood refinished, headliner in great shape, dash has no cracks and in perfect shape, Paint is like new (Dark blue), all chrome has either been redone or replaced, new rear muffler, driveshaft has been rebuilt by advertiser in Star magazine, topend of engine rebuilt about 15K ago, transmission also rebuilt (very strong), new R134 compressor installed just before I bought the car, the car is definitely show worthy!!! Drove as good as she looked. Hence, the operative word drove. I had a little fender-bender three weeks ago and banged up the front left fender, headlights, bumper and lower control arm. The accident didn't hurt the hood, grill or the door panel It is sitting at a MB colision center now as I speak. My insurance co has totalled the car saying its not worth fixing ($7500 believe it or not) - (all new MB parts from Germany is why). I believe the car could be fixed for less than $2500 (less than that if you do the work yourself). Unfortunately, I need a car immediately and have no place to store this one. I am asking $5,000 for the car knowing that there is probably more than $10,000 in parts alone. If I find no takers, I will probably find a place because I can't stand to let the insurance company have her after what little they paid me for her. Any Takers??? I can send pics via email to anyone who would like to see the car before the accident. I can also get some after shots as well. YOu can call me also at 512-864-3937 or 512-868-6027. I have to make a decision by the end of Monday or Tuesday, July 15th or 16th.

Fight the insurance company and don't let them total the car.
It can be done.

This car is worth so much more than to total it out like this. You are being screwed! Like the post earlier said, fight back, im mean FIGHT! Why we pay huge premiums, and let this sort of service just pass us by is beyond me.

This car needs fixed, and they need to fix it. $2500??? And they are totaling it? What insurance co. is this? Ill spread the word about this company!
