300TD for sale

1985 Mercedes 300TD, 155,000 miles.

New: Belts and hoses. Tires. Front shock absorbers. MB coolant. Front and rear brake pads. Front and rear rotors. Right rear caliper. Brake fluid.

Service I've done: P/S fluid and filter. Hydropneumatic fluid and filter. A/T fluid and filter (messy job, ugh). Spin-on fuel filter. Air filter. Checked and set valves. Timing chain only has about 2-3 degrees of stretch. Fixed switch-over valve so the IP/ALDA sees the turbo boost (curing slug-like accelleration). Restored vacuum to transmission modulator (curing very harsh shifts).

Power windows work well, cruise works, vacuum system of climate control works well (may need a new monovalve).

It's been EGRectomied -- with a plate under the valve.

Started well all last winter (was my primary driver), glow plugs are good.

Comes with: New ball joints, new tie rods, PAPER M-B manuals (engine, and chassis).

I have the origonal documentation, including: The paper card that explains the cruise control, the paper card that explains the climate control, the "running-in" booklet, the supplementary seat belt tensioner booklet, the Becker tape head cleaning sticks, the Hirschmann antenna cleaning cloths, the warranty booklet, the maintenance booklet and the owners manual.

The maintenance booklet is stamped thru 68,306 miles.

The car was purchased new by "Bianco & Pepe INC" of Scarsdale, NY. The servicing dealer was Pepe motors corp of White Plains, NY. You make the connection!

From the maintenaince booklet and the title, the car traveled from NY to FL at least twice.

It's not pretty, but it's solid. The floorpans are solid, no leaks. For a diesel it doesn't even smoke.
