Hello,
I would like to peel back the sound insulation material in the footwell of my W115 to see how bad the rust is underneath.
It's in the front passenger side.
Any help about how to remove this stuff and keep it around, or if it isn't reusable, how to replace it afterwards?
I think that I can slice around it and pull it out in one sheet and set it aside.
If I find that there are no holes in the floorboard, can I coat it with something like POR15, stop the water source and hope for the best or does the floorpan have to come out no matter what?
