Smile 1979 300SD 129k miles. ---Sold -- $4300

A local guy came by today and bought my 79 300SD. He was the first guy to see it and had his mind made up in 5 minutes. He really liked the car and I think he feels as if he got a great deal! I am glad that I have finally sold my Mercedes. However, I know that tomorrow when I look out side at my drive way, I will start missing that Old fellow. Wonder if I should had stay with my initial asking price of $5800? Hmmm.... Next time I sell a car I will stay with my gut feeling instead of being let down by people who haven't even seen it .
Thanks for all the support guys..

79MB, I think you learned a valuable lesson. Education is a very expensive commodity. What does a good four year college education cost? What does a good MBA cost? I don't think you payed too much for the lesson learned, and it can pay you back many times in future transactions. 'Patience is a virtue' has significant meaning to those who listen.

I guess it depends how much you needed the money at the time. 5800 may have had you waiting for a while. 4300 is still pretty good I think.

...CONGRAT'S..79mb3000...

...Glad you sold it for WHAT YOU WANTED..
I was wondering..where did the buyer see your ad? Craigslist or some other forum?
When I was selling my 82 Euro 500 SEC..It was Craigslist that provided a buyer, not this site.To many nay-sayers here..
So what's your next car? Got a SWEET JAG,
not for the faint of heart.
