Silver/black top, mb tex interior, non original carpets. I am a third owner of this car.
It shows 74000 miles but I can not verify it. I bought it from a gent who got it from his father.
He started a small restoration but not much has been done. The car was my daily driver for almost 2 years.
Now I moved on to a newer daily driver and she must go. I have some records including data card.
The car needs some attention and I don't have a garage to take care of it.
I am trying to be as honest as I can about the car.
Known issues are:
Previous owner replaced headliner but covered the sunroof opening?! I never got to check why the sunroof did not work
in the first place.
Front sits a little low and ride is a little harsh. It probably needs kingpins and subframe mounts replaced.
Rear-left window motor stopped working in down position so it is now removed from the door. I will not
be able to replace it with a new motor for now.
The car is strong and runs great but it developed hesitation at around 60 mph. I was told by the symptoms that the
distributor needs to be checked out. This made sense to me because the problem developed after the distributor was cleaned out.
There seems to be an exhaust leak. It sounds a little louder now.
AC needs to be recharged.
There was rust in trunk wheel wells which was cut out and replaced with fresh metal. The trunk floor had surface rust which was
treated.
Winshield rubber could be replaced in the future and I have new seals for front and back that come with the car.
Chrome is good with the exception of right short piece on the front bumper which has a little surface rust.
It has good tires on with much life left in them, and 14 inch bundt wheels.
The driver seat back rest has a 2-3 inch tear in it. Otherwise the interior is great for the age. The wood is replaced with a nice
macasar piece I got on ebay one day.
The car has a new timing chain and valves were adjusted when the the chain was changed about a year ago.
The driver's side mirror insert needs to be replaced. The left fender chrome tream needs to be replaced. I have the bottom
chrome trim removed from the car.
It has new plastic ventilation switches. If you are in NY, NJ or close by please come by and check it out.
I have many pics which I can email to anyone interested. Brakes are strong. Many rubber hoses replaced a year ago.
I think I am pretty thorough with the description and I am not a mechanic so the description is to the best of my knowledge.
