83 380sel converted to diesel/ 73 280... both for sale
Hi, my two girls need a new home! Mary is a 1973 280 with 110,000 miles on her; and Celeste is a 380sel that has been custom converted to diesel (rebuilt motor only 2yrs old!). Our goal is to go to one vehicle...we had four( one down, three to go! Mazda truck should sell tomorrow, I think) I would like to buy a diesel wagon, as even the 126 diesel isn't big enough if it's our only vehicle.
Ideally I would like to sell Celeste first (she's worth more), as it would give me the cash to look for my wagon, and since I'd need something to drive while I was looking, I'd like to hang on to the 280 for awhile yet. Diesel wagons are hard to find! But, if you're interested in the 280, let me know. You can view pictures and video clips of both cars at http://www3.telus.net/public/a7a14949/ The video clips are fairly short, out of consideration for various internet connections, but if you'd like a clip of anything not shown, just let me know and I an email it to you. BTW, the video of Mary is before the intake manifold gasket was replaced, so you can hear a bit of a hiss. That has since been fixed (I'll try and update the video soon). If you have any questions, you can email me at elod@canada.com. Oh yeah, the prices :p Mary 73 280- $1800 Canadian (about $1150 US) Celeste 83 380diesel -$8000 Canadian (about $4800 US). There is a company called Autorail (www.autorail.com) which ships via train, and specializes in going across the border. Very reasonably priced, I think. Cheers!
