Thanks Spock

A mechanic at my MB dealership (Schumacher European) told me that a 70 s 450 SLC in this good of condition was unusual . He also said that the production figures of SLC s verses SL s make this car a nice find .

Thumbs up

Looks like a really nice car. Love the color. I've always wanted to own an SLC, but got twins on the way.

The price is more than fair for a car in that condition.

Good luck!

"SL" for the family man

Paul,

Don't worry if you've got twins on the way unless you have a couple of kids already. My two boys (7 & 4) fit in the back of my SLC just fine. The only time there was a problem was when they were babies in an infant restraint/carrier. This was too long for the depth of the SLC rear seat and with two doors was too difficult for access. From when kids can sit upright through to teenagers the SLC is fine. It is as close as you can get to an SL with seating for up to 5. The only disadvantage is the boot (trunk) is little bigger than that in the SL. Back in the days when my wife and I used the SLC for holidaying there was only the two of us and excess soft luggage could be accomodated on the back seat. Having now owned my 350SLC for 20 years I can also say what an enjoyable and reliable drive it has been. I have just completed a lengthy (2 part) article for our MB Club magazine here on twenty years of ownership of the same SLC. In Oz at least, they are the bargain classic buy at present.

Greg
