Time to part with my 300E. Hope to be back with another MB in the future, this forum has been great. Located in Jax Beach or Sarasota, FLorida, I bought this car at auction, but found the PO's business card and got the scoop on the vehicle. The odo stopped at 61K, the PO said it stopped 4 years ago, but that it was a fourth car that they kept around for when their College kids when they came home during breaks. I'm estimating 5K miles a year since then, might be liberal..the PO had no reason to lie about it, they got their tax writeoff....

About the Car:
The car is Silver exterior, grey leather interior. The paint has faded on the hood and left side in the Florida sun, but the interior is nice. The rear passenger window is not working, getting power though. The A/C is inop. I put in another Becker Grand Prix that works fine, speakers will need replacing if you're serious about tunes. The drivers mirror works but will need replacing. Lots of mirrors on Ebay.

The car has had a tune up, I've been commuting from Jax to Sarasota on the weekends, and the car has behaved tremendously. I've replaced the left tie rod, and the tires will need replacing soon. I tried to clean the rims with the wrong cleaner...took the paint off the rims...oops. Cleaned it up best I could.

I like the car, but need to sell it to pay back my dad for his help during my layoff. I was planning to do much of the work needed as described above and more, but time is of the essence.

I've got $4k in it, and that's what I need out of it. If I were going to keep the car, the air, paint and tires would be next. The car has minimal oil consumption, so valve seals would come later.

Call me crazy, don't know what the asking price is these days, but if you're looking for a clean, quick and dependable 300E to build on, this might be it.
