1983 240D Turbo 4-speed conversion

A well cared for 1983 240D

Beige/ivory exterior, palomino interior
Small cracks on dash, otherwise interior looks clean and nice
I installed a 1983 turbo engine (190 kmi) in it last August
The chassis has only 182 kmi on it
I installed a 4-speed in it in December
It is a blast to drive
gets 26 mpg
Also new at time of swap,
Starter
water pump
alternator
glow plug relay

new glow plugs last month
oil changed every 3000 mi, currently on Mobil 1 synthetic

Brakes are 1 yr old

All records and reciepts for the past 4 1/2 years (since I've had it)
Would not hesitate to drive x-country, in-fact if you give me an air ticket I would deliver it within 800 mi

Looks great and runs great,
one rust hole size of quarter under rear trunk quarter otherwise good
Paint gleams
New tires (Feb 2003)
Pictures on request, I have them but attachments here have to be less than 64 k in size !!
Located in Denver, CO
Asking $2350link to ebay item

Hi...I was wondering if that 240D you recently sold had the 5cyl turbo in it. And if it does, I am wondering if you could outline whats involved in the conversion. Stuff like moving the tranny, driveshaft length and whether another one will fit, shift linkage hookup, stuff like that.

Thanks

it did indeed have the 617.95x turbo diesel in it.
The tranny bolts right up. The crank snout already has a hole for the pilot bearing. Clutch from a 240D bolts in as do the release arm, and all the clutch hydraulics. Even the brake reservoir has a tap for the clutch fluid. The flywheel bolts in, no need to rebalance , its been 30 kmi of hard driving and no problems.

The driveshaft needs to be shortened. The linkages need to be cut and re-splined exactly 4" each (there are 3 of them)
The tranny mount and cross member bolt into holes already present in the framerails.
Anything else you need just email me for details.
