I have a 88 300 SE with about 286,000 miles. The engine was just rebuilt from an authorized Mercedes shop in San Antonio. the sun roof does not work is almost the only thing wrong with it. I only want $4000 for it, but want to know what would be a good price to ask for it locally?

I wish I had room for it, it looks like a beauty. Ask $5000 and see where you end up. Last year I sold my really nice '90 300SE with the same miles for $4500. SEC's bring a more. The fact that the engine was re built helps a bunch. I think you are realistic. It may take a while though so be patient.

Did Benson do the work? I'll bet that wasn't cheap!
