WANTED: Porsche tub for race car

Since all of us are car nuts and are aware of what is around us and in our neighborhoods regarding German cars, I have a friend looking for a late Porsche 924 or early 944. Would like a straight body although fenders are not important as they will be replaced.
Drivetrain also is not important but having a clear title is.
Prefer to find a suitable chassis in a 300 mile radius of Charlotte, NC.
Please email with any you know of to me.
Thank you,
Tobias MB

Is he in PCA? We have a fairly active Charlotte group.

This one might be a candidate. Its one of the 944's posted in the Carolina's Region newsletter.

Project cars- 1984 944 sunroof coupe. Runs good, needs paint and interior. $2000 OBO. 1981 924 sunroof coupe. Not
running, but an easy fix. $1500 OBO. Consider package deal including trailer and tow vehicle. Moving—must sell. Leonard

The newsletter is on the region's web site at

Thanks guys....

Found one close by here finally, a 1984 944 with a good 1985 motor that I've sold to another owner that has a seized motor so that cuts the o/a cost to almost zilch. Now to install the 355" Chevy engine and Richmond six speed and all the trimmings.
