Now I'm driving a Smart car, but have just as many problems as I had with the old Mercedes. I should learn to stick with Chrysler products which have never given me any grief.

Well, there's a difference: he probably bought a car in Canada made by Canadians who take pride in their work.

I have seen it up close. The PIllette Road truck plant and the Windsor Assembly plant always had the lowest level of assembly defects and they were prodfitable.

And they had truly radical CAW officials that I had to deal with.

The big difference was peer pressure. If ypou came in hungover, peers would help you if needed. If you came in drunk too often for no special reason like a birthday etc, six guys would have a talk with you in the restroom..... nuff said.
