Dead W123 Needed

I need a W123 body, motor/tranny is not necessary. Must be 1977-1980. Ideal combo would be a 240D with 4spd. Preferably in Oregon or Southern Washington.

to elaborate...

I did not really specify why I need this car.

A friend wrecked her 1977 240D that had a brand new motor in it. The car is totalled but she wants to put the motor in another W123. So... I need a 1977 to 1980 W123 Diesel, either a 300 or 240D, that doesnt need to run, or even have a drivetrain. It must have all its body pieces. I am sure that top dollar will be paid.

Thanks

Larry Bible has at least two non-running 240D's that I am aware of.

I don't know if they're for sale, but it wouldn't hurt contacting him...

Limitting the year to '77- '80 may not be necessary..... bosch provides pencil glow plug adaptor kits for older loop style glow plug engines - so she could probably toss her immaculate loop plug engine into later model pencil plug relay system using pencil plug adaptors.

The one that I would sell would be an '81 300D, Silver. Good air, interior, everything pretty good except for fried engine. The a/t was even working well, so you could sell it.

It looks decent, but the right rear door has been straightened and repainted. The straightening was done in a hurry (by me) and did not come out perfect. If you want a car that looks perfect this isn't it. If you want a car that is a very nice looking driver, this could be what you're looking for albeit not very close to you.

I would take $1000 for it as is with no radio, but everything else in place.

Have a great day,

Need a car

240Demon,

You might want to check www.craigslist.com as it has Mercedes and it lists several cities near you like Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland. If you go further afield check San Francisco and L.A. You'll find lots further south.

Ben
