1976 280C For Sale in PA
Well, I was just getting into the idea of restoring this gem but I found a Volvo 122 that I'd rather have. Here are the details:
It was titled in Florida until 2003 and now in PA (clear title). The BAD: Speedometer doesn't work so it's TMU. Had rusted floorboards so I cut and patched them (some metal, some fiberglass) but did not replace them with aftermarket. Car no longer has leaks but original carpet was ruined from water. Aftermarket carpeting will be installed. Original Becker radio is inoperable, as well as factory power antenna. Car would need professional restoration to be a show winner. The GOOD: Factory M B tex seats are in immaculate condition. Car is mechanically very sound. Runs great with DOHC M110 engine 6 cylinder engine, JAM Holley carb conversion, and automatic trans. No fluid leaks. A/C converted to R134A blows cold. Car was repainted a few years ago and white paint is shiny and full of life with 2 very small chips on the hood. All chrome and trim is clean and intact. Body panels are solid. Car needs nothing to be a daily driver, except a speedometer cable! Starts right up and drives anywhere. If it doesn't bother you that the rusted floor panels were repaired with fiberglass, it is a professional repair that will last longer than the car and you'll have no problems with it. I will be fixing the speedo and having the car inspected in PA. Looking to be in the range of $1000 obo. I can email more pics to any interested parties. Thanks! I forgot. The driver's side rocker panel needs replacement, too, if restoring. It has been repaired with fiberglass.
