I had to get something that went in the snow so the 1985 16v is up for sale. The title is clear, the vin is WBD2010341A134750, 199 black. I have owned this car for 6 years and it has never let me down. I had it repainted last summer as the clear coat on the roof was peeling and it needed some freshining up. The typical rust around the rear archs was repaired also. The car doesnt have any rust. It doesnt have a rear spoiler on it as I was going to mount the Evo1 spoiler and got a regular 190 trunk instead of patching the holes up. The car doesnt have A/C. It has the full leather seats(manual, seam split on bottom of front seat), euro heating conrols, sunroof, adjustable euro headlights.
It is lowered with an AMG suspension kit consisting of shocks and springs. It sits low but rides great, plush but controlled. The rear sls had been removed. Exterior and interior conditions are an 8/10. Car has been religiously taken car of with 2,500 oil changes and only original MB parts. Has updated chain tensioner, new ball joints, tires 60%, original rims, front ate power disc, euro downpipe(no cat), rest of exaust in very good shape, new sparkplugs and wires, roof antenna(e30 M3, rear antenna deleted), oil cooler and radiator 4 years old. Had a run in with a deer a year ago so the hood, left light and left fender were replaced.
I have a 3.92 lsd rear in it now with 1k miles on it that isnt set up right (thanks Irish Mike) so it whines but I will sell it with the original 3.07 lsd which is good(will be swapping this weekend, unless you want the 3.92). Its showing 562k km (speedo is in kmh) this is not correct, but true milage is unknown. That being said the car is rock solid and has nothing that requires attention. Drive it anywhere! I took a 9,000 coast to coast round trip last summer in it and had no problems. I cruised 85-100 most of the time and it was great.
Everything works, the door panels dont have the common issues, it uses half a quart between oil changes. The car is not a showcar but a great daily driver or track/race car. Asking $4300 obo. Pics will be available when the snow clears up.
