Time to clean house
I have too much stuff, and no time to mess with it all. Due to this, I've made the decision to part with my baby, and get rid of the rest of the buildup of MB stuff as well.
First and foremost, My beloved 1959 190Db. I look at this car longingly, and wish for the time to make her roadworthy again. I just don't have the time or money to make it happen. The car starts and runs. Sitting though, has taken it's toll. The brake fluid has all leaked out somewhere, and brakes no longer function. The last time I moved it, it was idlling erratically, and would no longer shut off by pushing in the glow/start/stop knob. The interior is in poor shape as well, and the area where the battery sits is completely rusted through. The front bumper is bent forward from the previous owner catching it on something. This car is an excellent candidate for restoration - it was my original plan. I also have a complete engine that I bought for parts. It goes with it, as well as the rest of the miscelaneous stuff that I've acquired for it. I originally paid $2200 for the car. I would like to get at least $1500 for it. Next is a 1980 240D 4 speed manual. This one is strictly a parts car. The harmonic balancer sheared off of the crankshaft, and we couldn't get the bolt off of the front to surmise the damage. It still starts and runs. The car is in a state of partial disassembly inside, and the radiator is out of the car. I will take the highest offer. Finally is a 1975 240D automatic. This car is complete. It was another restoration purchase, that I never got around to. It starts immediately, and runs buttery smooth. The interior needs work, and none of the accessories seems to work. There is a grounding issue with the headlights, that I started to troubleshoot, but never figured out. The tranny loses ATF through the front pump seal at a rapid rate. Again, I will accept the highest offer. All of these cars MUST be trailered home. I will be able to respond more quickly to questions if replies are sent to bfoust@direcway.com The vehicles are all located at my property near Paradise, TX. |

Do you still have the 1980 240d? If so can you post some photos?
Thanks |

No, the 80 240D is sold. I received payment for it a couple of days ago.
If you know of anyone looking for a complete W115 for parts or restoration, it's still available. The 190D is also still available. |
