If it's not too uncouth; what did you pay for the motor? Has it been rebuilt?
I'm kicking the crap out myself for not picking it up....

Thanks.

Its not uncouth at all. But after its complete. The first thing Im going to do, is start waiing for a ridiculas offer. Could take years. Dont care. A potential buyer might get pissed off at what I spent on the project and walk away. I like fast boats more then fast cars. Thats why I fix cars.
I will just say that the parts for rebuilding the engine will probablly cost more then the rest of the project. If you see a guy trying to sell head Gasket sets for a HAMMER, it will probablly be me trying to get some of the money back I will have to spend in order to have them made.

Understood. I'm sure anyone that is looking for a real, honest to GOD Hammer (ie, 1 of 13) they'll take one that nice for whatever they can get it for.
Good Luck. I wished I'd had the $$ at the time to pick it up.

...I seem to remember someone here talking about rebuilding a Hammer engine...I think they actually found the original builder of the engine (the AMG tech) and he helped him...

HGs for the AMG 6.0 M117 with AMG 32V heads? How much were they and where did you source them if you don't mind me asking?

Pit Bull, so you bought the Hammer, found the original 6.0 engine, and now are putting it back together? This is the first I've heard of this. What's the latest?

A guy re-building a RENNtech 6.2L M119 in the UK was able to have custom head gaskets made for the unreal price of $450 for two pairs. You might want to contact him, to inquire what shop did the work... gotta be way cheaper than attempting to locate genuine AMG M117 gaskets. Check out 500Ecstasy.com, username Talbir... there's a couple of threads on his beastly 6.2L.

Well I finially have the engine completely rebuilt better then it was when new.

Its finially next to the car and ready to install except the 119 engine wiring is there but the original harness isnt. Yhe pipes from the headers to the exhaust system where cut and are missing as well.

x2 on photos.

Four years on & I'm still kicking myself for not pursuing that one back then. C'est la vie.
