Glauser Mercedes is the MB dealership in town. The Glauser you are going to see is a small used car dealership that is your typical used car "Honest John's" used car lot. "buy here. pay here" kinda' place.

Glauser Mercedes was recently bought by Auto Nation and I guess they are gonna be called "Mercedes Benz of Sarasota".

Marque buys alot of his cars at auction and also from Glauser MB.

Good luck. I wish I would've met Marque a long time ago. I'm sure I would've had a nicer 300E than I do now.

yeah when I was speaking to the Glauser dealer, he said something about his brother being the former, that's what it was, former owner... B/c the same name seemed odd to me.

Talked to mark, he said he just sold a blue one and had nothing on hand . He did say he was going to a Mercedes Auction in Palm Beach today and would c if they had what I was looking for.

well, I believe he has moved his used car lot. I recall seeing his Glauser sign somewhere other than where it was before. His old lot used to be what appeared to be a corner gas station at one time. His sign wasnt exactly hi tech either. No neon or fluorescent lights. His sign was a big handpainted thing.

I thought it was kinda' cheesy. I thought maybe it was a brother of the Authorized MB dealer and from what I saw I imagined him being the wannabe brother and saying "ma always did like YOU best!"

Well I went up today and bought the 95. Glauser is in fact the brother of the Glauser Mercedes, which was sold to AutoNation. He was quite nice, said he was a dealer in town for ove 20 years. Anyway, the Mercedes was immaculate. He also had an '80 Pontiac T/A with like 19K miles, immaculate, already sold for $9K. He did say he was in the corner b4, so I guess that was the gas station.

yeah, so technically I bought a car off ebay, pretty cool, lol. $8.9K. Lots of paperwork, ultra clean, the owner was an "older" much older person, as birthdate on the registration (even all the registrations going back years where saved) was 1920 somthing, lol. One of the service reports from the vmi is "customer found loose bolt on floor"........... "replaced".... lol....



Is smoke silver the official color or champagne??

The official color is smoke silver.

Smoke silver doesn't really mean anything to the average person, though, so I usually call it champagne to everyone else.
