FS 1979 280CE on Long Island

1979 baby blue with dark blue MB Tex 280CE (GAS) 2 door hardtop coupe for sale. The car was my daily driver for 2 years plus. I have done extensive engine work (M110 fuel injected six with auto tranny) on this car including a new warm up regulator and a new ACC SERVO. If you are looking at this post you know how expensive these parts are!!! Car has approx. 125-150 thousand miles as the the odometer does not work. I have owned the car since it had 75,000. The car has nearly new tires on clean Mercedes Bundt Cake style wheels. Heat works great and the A/C is all there and may even work. I never charged the system so I won't make any promises here. Chrome is great and the rubber around the chrome is very good as well. The car has a sunroof and it works but needs the rails cleaned and that special Mercedes grease applied. Front windows work great, rear 1/4 windows are slow. Interior is very clean although the front seats need spring work. The rear seats and rear parcel shelf are excellent. The breaks work great (newer master cylinder and rotors). Floor pans and frame are rust free. Trunk had some rust in the rear quarters which I cut out and welded with new metal. There are other rust issues on the car which I have very detailed pictures of. I am asking $2500 for the car. I welcome anyone who is interested to come and view the car. I am not trying to hide anything. Come take a look, drive it, crawl underneath, and make an offer. Anyone interested can contact me at rlissman@mondani.com. I can e-mail digital pictures. The pictures are quite large so if you don't have high speed internet access I can mail the pictures to you on a cd. I have two other vintage Mercedes, both being diesels. I go under the name NYDEISEL in the diesel discussion section. I am reluctant to sell the car but I purchased a 1976 BMW 2002 from Arizona that is rust free and I need the garage space. I have always wanted one of theses and the deal was to good to pass up. Something has got to go and I won't give up the diesels!!! I hope to hear from you, David (aka NYDEISEL)
