1985 300d with 66k miles for sale advice?
Man this is weird all these diesels coming outa nowhere at me. ARGHHH
 I chased down an elderly couple out in the parking lot back in Jan and asked them about there powder blue 300d they were driving. WOW it was immaculate. NO dents, dings, scratches, cracks flaws or anything. It should't have... It only had 65k miles and this guy bought it new. He is late 60's and is a retire engineer. He bought it new at Atlanta Classic Cars and still had the tag on the front. It has been garage kept and was only serviced at ACC in Atlanta and Skyland MB here in Asheville. Everything works and he has all service records. It truly is nice. I am going by tonite because he called me today and told me he was ready to sell!!! Oh No I have no money! But I will make some! He wants $6500 for it and has a few others to call that have left cards and notes on his windshield over the years. Is this car worth that kind of money or am I looking at a low mile time bomb.???????? Thanks Joe

well after I drove the $2200 300d I ended up going with the 66k miles 300d. It is true and I have all documentation to prove it. I will be picking the car up in the morning and I may have a pic this evening. You guys are gonna crap because this thing is awesome. Unbelievable!
 Cold Air, working cruise, No cracked dash. I am excited! YeeHaalater

It sounds like you are going to but, BUY THAT CAR! For $6,500!!! You could double your money by selling it on ebay!

I got it today. i actually let him sit for a few days and he took it down to Skyland MB to trade it and they offered him $4500 for it. He called me yesterday and I picked it up for $4900. The miles are legit! i scoured the records all stamps are there. It has been driven 4200 miles since 2000. Neat car. Very strong!
