For sale/trade: 1986 300SDL, car or parts..

See thread here..
My $300 1986 300SDL

Post replys and questions HERE.

Most of the info is in that thread, I have further photos so ask away. The interior is rough, dash crack, front seat bottems bad, backs so-so, rear seat intact but hard and with a split seam or two. All front power stuff works on seats, including lumbar stuff. Rear power seats not working, pass side switch gives a click, have not trouble shooted any. Power windows no go, door locks no go, climate control not dead but not correct, you get the point.
It's a project. Seat memory works, power telo steering wheel too.
I'm pretty sure the seats are heated, but wouldnt swear it. Center console buttons are gone, think they might be in the trunk.

Only rust I see is in the photo, it'll need adressing but is not really major. No sign of accident damage other than the right front headlight. Hood leading edge rolled a hiar in, dent small dent on truck lid and quarter, otherwise pretty strait. Paint faded badly. I'll post more photos later. Read the previous thread.

I'd really love for someone to come up with a 300SD to swap me for it. If this was a 300SD I'd keep it in a heatbeat.

Prefer to sell the whole thing to one person, I'll give it a few days to take offers before I start parting out. But I will if need be.

After crawling over and under it and playing with the engine and trans, I'd like $600 for it. If I can't get that, hey, oh well. Someone who's a good wrench with a parts source could have a nice SDL cheap with some work here.

IF I end up parting it out, I'd love to swap for some w123 stuff.
An 85 rear diff with tall gears, Bilisten HD's, front end rebuild stuff, brake rotors, turbo, a new trans(haha), stuff like that.

Private messages, post here, e-mail, take your pic. Thanks everyone..

Does the AC work? More importantly does the compressor turn on? If the compressor comes on I need part# 003 545 69 05. It is a big black relay right to the left of the master cylinder. What do you want for it? Also if there is a toolkit in the trunk I want that also. Just in case you decide to part her out.

Is that the Kilma relay thing? How specific is it to SDL's, I have access to a couple other SD and w126 LWB gasser parts cars at work. Let me know what it's worth. And I don't believe the compressor on the SDL kicks on, system looks empty.

Yes it is the Kilma relay, I think it is specific to post 1986 W126's. The part# is printed right on the top in white letters. It doesn't really matter what car it came out of I guess, as long as the numbers match.

Fastlane wants $130+$70 core for a new one. I don't want to spend that, what do you want for one?

Jeez, does it make breakfast in the morning?
I'll see if I have one handy next week at work.

Someone's going to restore it?

Did you get a chance to see if you have a kilma?

Yeah, I think it's going to a good home. It's not too far gone.

I was swamped at work today, I'll try and check that relay tomorrow.

It is good, I dug him up a rear door glass and a door handle today as a start. No Kilma for you in the MB section, but there's an 85 SD I want to check the P# on tomorrow morn if I can get in early enough..
