Lightbulb FS: 1995 E420 - Boston, MA

ONLY local sale in MA so I can show you the car.

Purchased from Hatch and Sons (www.hatchandsons.com) in June 2003 with 82k mi. and now it has 92k mi.

The pictures are here: *Note, I am not selling the modifications*
http://users.rcn.com/holsonyap/E420_Celica

I am NOT going to put this car on ebay. I really want to sell it to a mercedes enthusiast who'll take care of it like I do.

When I bought the car, Hatch put in:

New shocks (4)
New brakes and pads (4)
New tires (4) Michelin MXV4 205/60/HR15

and a few other things that I forgot (belt tensioners, etc.)

during the warranty period:

Aux. Fan relay
Viscous Fan Clutch

90k. mi. service was done
Transmission filter, fluid, brake fluid, rotors and caps, plugs, air filters, dust filter

and very recently:

engine mounts
new starter motor

the oil has always been changed every 3 mo. or 3000 mi. (usually 3 months as I don't drive much) and I wash the car by hand and wax it so much I think I've gotten much stronger in the arms

Since I'll be looking for an E500 (if you wanna trade + difference, I'd be more than happy), I'll be keeping the shift knob, chrome surround, floor mats, wheels and clear corners. Basically I'll sell the car stock.

The wood is in great conditon, except for the one with the window switches. It's got a hairline crack and isn't quite as shiny as the other pieces.

The body is in really good shape for its age but it does have its share of rock/stone chips on the hood and below the headlights and bumper nicks in the back. There is also a key damage on the left rear door.

The front bumper was resprayed when I purchased the car to get rid of all the stone chips.

The right front door was resprayed and some work was done to fix a bit of rust right where the plastic meets the body.

FULL service records (not just mine, but the previous owner's)

The windows are tinted using 3M Tint (50% on the sides, 35% on the rear windshield)

I'd like the potential buyers to see and drive the car in person. Call up Hatch and Sons and ask to speak to Ed Owen (service) for history on the car.

Asking price : $14.5k to Mercedesshop members
I raised the price to compensate for the expensive recent starter breakdown and chasing down this hard start problem - but it will be rectified before sale.

Reason for sale : founds its replacement

Thank you very much,

-Holson-

btw, I would appreciate the absence of comments on the price Thank you

Thanks Bob

It gets almost 25mpg if I drive conservatively on the highway

but with my 80% city driving I get 16-17mpg - definitely not like my old 300CD's 25+

still not bad for that engine, and the highway mileage is surprisingly good (at least to me).

up for sale again,

BTW, If you have a 300CE or 300D in good shape and would like to trade up, you could discuss it with me.

again...
the Evos do not come with the car. Only the stock 8-hole 15" wheels in EXCELLENT condition.

If you'd like the Evo wheels and the mods let me know. I'd rather keep them unless you are willing to pay a good sum more because I want to put them in another 124 (a diesel/coupe) since they dont fit the replacement car
