1983 300SD for sale

Even though I have only owned the car since January, I regretfully must sell it due to financial reasons. I live in Tucson Arizona, but flew out to Denver with a friend to pick up this fine example of a 300SD and then drove it back 1,000 miles without a single problem. Here are the facts:

Midnight blue exterior
Navy blue MB-Tex interior

141,360 total miles
18,809 miles on tranny
55,933 miles on motor

These are the things that have been done since January:
-new bosch starter
-new grill / hood ornament / grill badge
-new euro flush-glass headlights with integrated city lights
-new clear corner lights
-new michelin tires
-new chrome wheels (original style)
-new air-cleaner mounts and bracket
-rebuilt driver's seat (done by previous owner less than a year ago)
-new thermostat (with coolant flush)
-new sony cd deck
-new pioneer speakers (fader bypassed)
-new heater valve
-new/used central locking vacuum pump
-replaced driver's-door metal pull-mount
-new power antenna mast
-replaced all fuses
-resoldered ACC board

The previous owner put in new glow plugs, fuel filters, and had the valves adjusted on 11/00, and new wheel bearings done at 12/98, and a new glow plug relay on 2/03.

All in all, this was the best 300SD I could find in the nation at the time, and it really sucks that my diesel experience had to be cut so short. I am asking for $5,950 firm. If interested, please respond to my e-mail address michael@bearbydesign.com, or visit my site with new pictures. -- Thanks, Mike.

Your car really looks great!

I have been looking around at the vw tdi's but they are pricey, and very popular at the moment.

The 300SD seems like pure quality all around especially since it is more mature

Wish I was closer and best of luck on the sale!
