Seeing abandoned Mercedes all over the place!!!

I am currently in between real jobs. I spend most days just riding around. You know, looking for chicks hitchhiking, bored housewifes, picking up cans on the side of the road and looking for stuff that would be easy to steal! Not much luck yet. But what I AM seeing is a LOT of Mercedes cars that appear to be abandoned or parked long term for whatever reason. Mostly W126 and W123 cars but also some 190E and 70's-80's SL cars. I have begun to catalog them and when I can find an owner I ask if they are for sale. I am entertaining the notion that I might start posting pictures just to see if any of yall might be interested in obtaining them. I would then contact the owner and have him contact you. Is there a demand for such a service here?

You ain't been in my neighborhood have you cap'n? I'd be interested in a 1969 280SL, single owner, low miles, garage kept model if you run accross one that is cheap because it needs engine work.

I imagine the diesel nuts would be more than interested in the diesel 123/126's out there. I know I am. Any we can go look at this weekend?

Yeah, but I didn't find very many cans!!

I do know where an 82 300SEL is though. Same color as yours. Paint is shot and some stupid left the rear windows down. I'm gonna track down the owner and check it out. They'd pretty much have to give it to me though cause the paint job alone will cost two grand!!

Hmmm, I don't really see abandoned Mercedes in my neck of the woods, but in the woods about 30 miles away, there are a few in an field. There are a few from the fintails, and such, and a few W123's. Oh, and the field is very expenive property, since it is sitting on the banks of a river in a popular tourist resort area

Every time I go for my run I see the same abandoned Benzes--

1. 300SD with about 175K miles on it.
2. Old 220 diesel
3. early 1970's 280 SEL
4. W116 body 300SD.

All within about 6 miles of each other!

I need to slip my business card under the windshield wiper of each car offering to talk about buying them!

Hehe...Must be for sale again. Usually the grass is so damned high around that car you can't see it.

FWIW, it's been there at least 15 years.

Wtb

a 280sl 107 body car with solid sheet metal, poor engine and cosmetics and trashed interior to make into an autocrosser.

Actually any 107 would probably work.

A diesel Rolls? That would be a curiosity, wouldn't it?
