Thanks for posting these parts numbers! I ordered last week and have the oil drained on my '84 300TD ready to take the lift pump off and inspect.

Only problem is I'm stuck at getting the lift pump off the injection pump! I realize I may need to go get some kinked ("L"?) wrenches to get in there at the right angle, but I am wondering if anyone could provide the basic procedure. Do I take the primer pump off (18mm?) then the two fuel lines (sizes?) then the three little (10mm?) bolts that are holding it to the injection pump? What about the big round skinny(shallow, six-sided) piece on the front? Does that unscrew?

Can't find anything for this step... I understand rebuilding should be pretty intuitive after I have it off.

This is not a rebuild kit, just the valves, valve springs, and copper seal rings.

I don't remove the pump, IMO: it is easier to replace these valves in the vehicle.

In most cases, it restores factory flow rate.
