Parting out '78 240D (W123) stick shift in Hawaii

After stealing lots of great information from this forum, I will finally give back what I can...
I am parting out an off-white 1978 240D with a mostly maroon interior and 2 great navy blue front seats (with armrest). It has a 4-speed manual transmission, manual climate control and no sunroof.
The car had manual windows that replaced the power windows on my running '81 240D. All of the WORKING electric window components from the '81 are available for sale.
I bought the vehicle at an abandoned car auction with 327,000 miles. The documents left with the vehicle indicate that the previous owner lost his drivers license and abandoned the car. Between the partial maintenance records and general condition of the car, I believe the power train is operational, however a new key from the dealer didn't work. A previous owner had changed the driver door, ignition and trunk locks.
So, after 3 drill bits, a few bloody knuckles and lots of colorful language, I managed to "overwhelm" the steering lock and have taken (or rendered useless) the following parts:
-both rear axle half shafts (Diff is still installed and looks fine)
-the previously mentioned steering lock
-manual window components
-dash light rheostat
-both front door latches (NOT the handles)
-antenna
-passenger side tail light assembly
-hood release assembly (the one that sticks through the grill)
-some of the chrome body trim
-passenger side mirror
-steering wheel (aftermarket anyway)

Everything else- radiator, Injection pump, oil cooler, shocks, all engine accessories etc, is available.
Now the catch- I live in Hawaii, so shipping from here is a bit more expensive than from the mainland. I am willing to make up for this by offering parts at a reasonable price. Make me an offer on a part and give me a required date and I will send it off.
I am also selling (will make another post) a 1984 300D turbo with 101,000 miles and 1981 240D with 207,000 miles, both are in Hawaii on the island of Oahu.

Question

Is the engine complete and in running condition? If so, any idea how much it'd be (both purchase price and shipping cost) to ship the complete engine to CA? Basically, I'm looking for everything from the flywheel forward, except for the power steering pump, a/c compressor, and cruise amplifier.

This is for a conversion project; hence I need the entire engine assembly, depending on condition and price...

I'm not sure what the assembly's worth; this is actually part of why I'm asking...I"m guessing that it'll be out of my price range, but can't hurt, right?

Thanks!

Research shows...

Warden-
I would like $350 for the engine and everything else that you asked for. I made some quick phone calls to freight forwarders and freight consolidators in Hawaii to get quotes, based on the following info:
-40"X48"X36" package (on a pallet)- these dimensions may be too large, and a majority of the cost is based on the size of the cargo, so if I can get it smaller, I will (therefore cheaper).
-shipping from Honolulu to a dock (i.e. you pick it up at the shipping port) in Port of LA (POLA) or Oakland area
-It could take 3+ weeks to get there as this low-budget method of ocean freight consolidating is not fast (I didn't think this would be an issue)
Examples of the rates from different companies:
$247 to Heyward, CA (near Oakland and you)
$388 to Heyward, CA
$126 to POLA
$180 to POLA
Keep in mind that I have not had the engine running because I do not have the right key (I bought the car at an abandonded auto auction). It had 300+K on the clock and seems to have been well maintained. If you are SERIOSLY interested I could check all fluids and get the engine going...
Also, if you are seriosly interested, please check into some of your local freight consolidating companies to see if they take shipments FROM Honolulu. It is tough to go through my yellow pages because not every company goes to Oakland/Heyward.
Let me know what you think about this.

Do you have the driver's side power window switch from the 1981? If so, email or pm me.
Thanks,

Looking for trunk chrome/black trim piece

If not damaged, do you have the chrome/black trim piece from the trunk?

Trunk Lid is fine (and cheap, too)

LaughingGravy- I have the trunk lid chrome trim but I want to make sure it will fit your vehicle. I notice your signature shows a 300TD and my parts car is for a sedan NOT a wagon. Let me know if you are still interested.
Aloha.

LMK if all 4 shocks are good (now many miles on them) and also the engine shocks and mounts.

Thanks!

halfway there...

TOMJ- I pulled the rear shocks a few weeks ago planning to put them on my other 240D but never did. FYI, they are not bilstiens but they are relatively new. If you read the original post, you will see that I don't know much about the car (like how many miles the shocks have). I will also inspect the motor mounts and trans mount (it is a manual transmission) and let you know what kind of shape they are in.

Motor and trans mounts are fine in this one, just need the engine shocks and engine shock mounts (separate from the motor mounts and you may not even have them on that year?)
