Benz network of Used Parts Providers

Hi,

I constantly get calls for parts that I don't have. I would like to pass on the opportunity to another forum member to maybe sell a part off their 'parts car'

Say I get a call for a Red Fender for a 190e 1987. Well If your parts car happens to be a Red 190 and it's got a good fender, you let me know, and I'll get you in touch with the person looking for that fender. (Which BTW is what I need now).

You don't have to be in the business of dismantling cars, but if you have a parts car and maybe wanna pay off the parts car by selling a few pieces, then you're all the better.

What I have started is an Instant Message, where when I get an email, I copy the request into an IM and send it to everyone on the list.

If you want to join the growing list, let me know. Marty@benzbonz.biz

Thumbs up

Do you sell mostly complete interiors? Such as doorpanels and dash?

I sell,,,

Every part that is salvageable that warrants removal. So in essence, I have just about one of everything on each donor vehicle.

I get calls for odd stuff that no one else sells. Where else can you find an emergency brake assembly to fit a 420SEL?

Lot's of times I get a call for a part on a car that I don't have. What I then do, is either refer them to Fastlane, or Send an IM to my Mercedes Network.

If someone on the network might have the part requested, I forward the email to the network member, and then he/she contacts the person in need.

I'm no longer part of the transaction. I do expect top quality parts honestly priced - from my Mercedes Network.

Who wins? The person actually providing the part wins, The consumer wins, and hopefully I win a bookmark.

red 190 fender

Hi from Marietta, Georgia. I have a red 190E that i am cutting up. It came from Florida so I am not sure how good the fenders are. I would have to go to my storage facility in Cartersville, Georgia to see if it is OK. I can sell it for a very reasonable price. Thanks, Chris Fett, 770-833-3833.

i'm looking for air intake scoop w/air temp sensor and hose for an 87 190e 2.6l (103.942) motor. BTW check fender very closely, according to what i learned on this forum the 2.6 fenders are (very slightly) longer than the 4 cyl models!

Got an email about this a while back and have the basement filled with parts from parted 123's (have a few in the yard right now) and would be willing to provide this, but don't want an annoying instant messaging on my desktop.

I can post a web page of merc parts I have (too many to list, but I'll try) and post a link.

I fully support this idea and am involved- with the limited time I have and the unstable yet sometimes plentiful yard resources as my stock room I try to contribute to everyones win/win end scenario.

Would it be better to,,,

Startm a forum and break down by model what part is needed? Problem is there are alot of models.

I started a forum at http://www.benzbonz.biz you could always check that, I'll start posting in both places, i.e. IM's and the forum.

Maybe just the forum is the way to go.

I could do a page for various 123's (mostly what I part, but also have many cross-over parts.)
