WTB .Final drive...for,1983/300D/126.

I'm looking for a low( Lowest.) numerical final drive assembly for this '83 126.
If you have a recycler you know or a unit for sale, please let me know..
I'm trying to get this machine down from 4000 rpm at 75 mph to a happier cruise rpm.

TIA....dk

I am not sure of the exact ratio of the diff in my car. But the '85 300SD has a lower ratio than earlier SD's. I can cruise at about 80mph@3000rpm.

You've got the 2.88:1

All other SD's have the 3.07:1
